What toothpaste is the best for whitening?!?!?

to me, i have really nasty yellow teeth. i dont know if its just because im self conscious about it but, ive been using colgate..the orange kind of toothpaste and its not doing anything to whiten my teeth. please help me out! i hate smiling in pics because of my teeth being so nasty! anything will help! THANKS!
