Does anyone use the Rooms chat app for iPhone?

How safe is this? What can people do with an ip address and hostname? I connect to a public wifi too if that makes any difference. My phone is also jailbroken. I just have this stalker and I even deleted the app because he said it's easy to find personal addresses when people use irc chats with iPhone. How right is he? Thanks in advance!
